Wainscots large and small

Brenda writes: “Despite overnight rain again there was a better night in the moth trap. It was nice to see another angleshades, and alongside 6 large wainscots was a common wainscot which is about a quarter of the size.

As the day went on the weather deteriorated and by the time I met tomorrow’s wedding couple at Holkham for their rehearsal the church was being lashed by wind and rain. Their flowers in autumnal colours were a pleasure to behold.”
