Nothing but rain

Sadly it was a bit of a non-day in terms of wildlife today! This was partly due to the awful weather, but mostly the fact that both Brenda and I just had too many other things to do.

As I saw no wildlife today, here’s a photo of an avocet to keep us going! Plenty of those around at the moment (photo taken 2017)


I’m off to a music conference in Cardiff from Sunday, so it will be interesting to see how much time I get for birdwatching. However I think Brenda will be generally writing more as it’s clear that there will be a lot more flowers (and hopefully more moths too) over the next few weeks. Meanwhile I shall remain alert for the presence of summer visitors such as swallows, willow warblers and more.
